Fade out Macquarie Hotel – Fade in Schwartz Brewery Hotel

While we never like to see a venue close it’s doors for any reason, especially a live-music venue, we do so love to see those doors reopen to a bigger and better microbrewery. Such will be the case at the Macquarie hotel in Sydney, which has decided a bit of rebranding is in order.

It’s decided to wave goodbye to its name of over 100 years and jump on the craft beer bandwagon in full stride adopting the new name Schwartz Brewery Hotel. In doing so it unfortunately has said it’s last goodbyes to  to the small live music part of it’s establishment (Raval Theatre) to make way for a bigger and better brewery-focused hotel.

With Head Brewer Michael Capaldo at the helm of this CBD microbrewery, we look forward to seeing even more of Schwartz beer in the future; not just in the hotel with the same name.

Rumours slip about Little Creatures next single batch creation

While many Australians have long been a fan of the Little Creatures Staple ‘Pale Ale’ – their limited release brews are nothing if not worthy of a good drinking session or two. And while the previous incarnations of Brown Ale, IPA, and East Kent Goldings Ale have proved to be either a massive hit or perilous miss with the Little Creatures fanbase, to their credit they are still pushing the envelop of craft beers and getting behind new ideas. Hit the jump for the full rumoured details about their next single batch release…

LWB share price soars amidst recent announcements

Although this is technically two-day old news now, we thought it was still worthwhile to share with those that don’t follow the stock market closely, to properly show how the corporate umbrellas of two of Australia’s macro craft-breweries is  fairing on the Stock market.

Amidst  recent announcements from the company, the share price of Little World Beverages (the corporate umbrella of White Rabbit and Little Creatures breweries) jumped a massive 50 cents (or 15%). Although the companies share price has been steadily on the rise for the last two years this recent spurt shows promising signs of things to come. Follow the jump for the five year share price breakdown…
